Pre-departure training: • to assist the expatriate to adjust to the demands of living and working in a foreign location • including short-term and on non-standarized assignments It consist of: 1.Cultural awareness training - Adaptation (understanding or/and acceptance) to the host country culture depends on country of assignment, duration, purpose of transfer environmental briefing and cultural orientation, culture assimilators, language training, sensivity training and field experiences Training methods are dependent 2.Preliminary visits - Introduce the candidate to the business context in host location Help encourage more informed pre-departure preparation
