Verifying TCP IP Properties If you cannot use ping successfully at any point, verify that the local
computer.s IP address is valid and appears correctly on the General tab of the Internet Protocol ( TCP/IP) Properties sheet. You can also use the ipconfig command to verify the IP address of the local computer. ipconfig is the
only way to view IP configuration data when the IP address is assigned by
DHCP or Auto Private IP.
