Kinds of adverbs:
of manner
of time of place
of frequency
of degree
There are three some main positions for adverbs; Front -beginning of a sentence; mid - after the first auxiliary, end - at the en of a sentence. Adverbs of manner can go in the mid or end position .
Adverbs of place and time , usually go in end position .
Adverbs of frequency generally go in the mid position. Most adverbs of degree go in mid position .
Others go at the end of a sentence when they describe a verb : much, lot, a little, terribly…. Adverbs of manner Adverbs of manner tell you how something happens or how somebody does something. Rule:  Adverbs of manner are usually formed: ADJECTIVE + LY E.g.: The music played loudly Note: Adjectives ending in -y change the -y into a -i when you add -ly. E.g.: easy → easily Exceptions: adjectives adverbs    Fast    Fast E.g.: John is fast. E.g.: The car runs fast    Hard    Hard E.g.: The test is hard. E.g.: They have to work hard.    Good    Well    E.g.: He is a good student.    E.g.: He plays well. 1.   Write the adverbs: Wrong _____________ Final _______________ Usual _______________ Nice ________________ Sincere ______________ 2. Make adverbs from the adjectives given.      In Portugal it is raining _____________ (heavy)    She did her test _____________ (e asy)    I saw him long ago, so I don't remember him ________ (good)    I called Mary and she came _________(immediate)    I was having a shower when _____________ (sudden) the phone rang. 3. Write sentences following the example:   Example: Mary is a slow e ater. She eats slowly. Tina is a good ballerina. She dances _________. Tom is a hard worker. He works ____________. Joe is a bad teacher. He teaches ___________. My friend is a dangerous driver. He drives ___________. Adverbs of time   Yesterday   Toda y   Tomorrow       Last / this   now   at the moment ...   night week month year This adverbs are usually used at the beginning of the sentence.
