Soap operas
Soap operas are popular TV serials, which dramatise their characters' daily lives. The two most popular soaps are “Coronation Street” (ITV) and “Eastenders” (BBC1)
Coronation Street is set in a working class area of Manchester. Eastenders is set in the East End of London.
”The Archers” is the world's largest running radio soap. It is the everyday story of country folk in the fictional village of Ambridge.
The Monty Python films
Monty Python's Flying Circus - depicting a surreal world featuring absurd animation and silly walks, Monty Python is one of the most influential comedy collectives of all time.
The troupe members are: Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam.
